All Weapons we sell are functional unless otherwise noted.

The Steel used is most commonly High Carbon Steel / High Carbon Spring Steel - (i.e., it can refer to any of 1050, 1065, 5160, CK55  Because these are not stainless, swords made of these materials do require oiling to prevent rusting. You may want to keep swords outside of their scabbards to avoid moisture damage and corrosion from chemicals used to treat the leather. Most blades do not come with a sharpened edge. Though they will take one quite nicely. A few of these weapons are used be stage performers at different Renaissance Faire's.
